Since our foundation in 2002, we have been focusing on ex-vivo culture technology as we consider it the most effective alternative to in-vivo testing. Following this belief, we have been developing and perfecting protocols for culturing ex-vivo skin, hair follicles, sebaceous glands and subcutis.

Cutech’s culture technologies allow to maintain the ex-vivo tissues in the best condition with regard to viability, metabolism and dynamicity.

The tissues are obtained from aesthetic plastic surgery. The transfer of the specimens from the clinic to the laboratory is performed within only a few hours following excision. Consequently, the loss of tissue viability as well as stress are prevented.

Besides the use for ex-vivo models, the specimens are the source for skin and hair follicle primary cells.
